We can confirm that Tysoe Children's Group Nursery will be closing for most children from Monday 23rd March until further notice.

The government has asked parents to keep their children at home, wherever possible, and asked schools and nurseries to remain open only for those children who absolutely need to attend.

The DFE have now produced a statement regarding which pupils will be eligible to remain in school, see below.

Examples of these workers include NHS staff, police and supermarket delivery drivers who need to be able to go to work to support the country’s fight to tackle coronavirus. Children who have a social worker and those with Education, Health and Care Plans – a legal document that describes a child’s special educational needs and the support they require – are also eligible to attend. Children who do not fall into these groups should remain at home with appropriate care.

There is information for parents and carers here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/closure-of-educational-settings-information-for-parents-and-carers/closure-of-educational-settings-information-for-parents-and-carers

We will be contacting parents / carers who we have already identified / have already identified themselves as eligible to talk about the arrangements.

If you think you are eligible, and need to access this service, please contact Yvonne as soon as possible, by email in the first instance via manager@tysoechildrensgroup.co.uk

On behalf of all the team here at Tysoe Children’s Group, I would like to thank you for your patience and for the support you have shown us at this time. This information was not available until late last night and both staff and the committee are working extremely hard to ensure we can offer a service for those that are eligible and really need to attend by Monday.

Please follow the government advice yourself available on:

Take care and we will remain in close contact by email regarding any further updates.

In the interim we will be posting links to suggested activities for playing and learning at home with your child on our Facebook page:
