We understand that there is a lot of information already out there for us, but we want to make sure that parents are equipped and knowledgeable on how to talk with their children about Covid19 to offer reassurances.

▶️ A summary of what we have found is:

💠 Don’t be afraid to discuss the coronavirus
💠 Make yourself available to listen and to talk
💠 Find Out What Your Child Already Knows
💠 Help Kids Feel in Control
💠 Take your cues from your child
💠 Be Developmentally Appropriate
💠 Be Reassuring
💠 Offer Comfort — and Honesty
💠 Focus on what you’re doing to stay safe
💠 Teach children everyday actions to reduce the spread of germs
💠 Keep Talking

Below are some links to sites that offer you further information.

Dr Ranj is a familiar face to many children who watch CBBC, so this video below may be useful to show them but after a few minutes it does go into more detail, so will not be suitable for all children to watch and understand.

Please read the sites, watch the videos and make your own judgments before sharing anything with others or with your children.
